A Passion for Trains
An Open Mic at the York Railway Institute
to celebrate the publication of Along the Iron Veins an anthology of poetry and prose about the railways
This event, put on as part of the York 50+ Festival, is open to all who have poems or short stories with a railway theme. The event is set in the auditorium of the York Railway Institute located just by York Railway Station next to the gap in city walls created to allow the first railway lines into the city.
The event will include an exhibition of railway prints and originals kindly provided by the York branch of the Castlegate Galleries in Coppergate. Artists to be featured will include Jeff Rowland, Alexander Miller and Lawrence Coulson
Doors Open at 7.00 PM for a 7.30 PM start.
